Indo-Tibetan Border Police has released the ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024 on its official website. They have invited online applications from eligible candidates to fill up 194 vacancies for Tailor, cobbler, Barber, Gardener and Safai Karamchari through ITBP Tradesman Recruitment 2024. The candidates will be selected based on their performance in the Physical Efficiency Test & Physical Standard Test, Written Examination, Trade Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination. ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024
All the registered candidates whose application forms are approved by the officials will be issued the admit card for the ITBP Tradesman PET/PST round. The actual date, time, and exam centre will be informed to the candidates in the ITBP Tradesman admit card 2024 through the official website. The ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024 comprises the following stages:
- Physical Efficiency Test & Physical Standard Test
- Written Examination
- Trade Test
- Document Verification and Medical Examination
ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024 for Physical Efficiency Test
The first stage of the ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024 is the Physical Efficiency Test. The ITBP Tradesman PET shall be qualifying in nature. Aspirants have to qualify for each event of PET. Those who fail to qualify for any event will be eliminated from the further recruitment round.
For Male Candidates
- 1.6 Kms Race: To be completed within 7.30 minutes
- Long Jump: 11 Feet (3 chances)
- High Jump: 3 1/2 Feet (3 chances)
For Female Candidates
- 800 Meters Race: To be completed within 4.45 minutes
- Long Jump: 9 Feet (3 chances)
- High Jump: 3 Feet (3 chances)
ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024 for Physical Standard Test
The second stage of the ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024 is the Physical Standard Test. Aspirants declared successful in PET will be screened for Height, Chest and Weight Requirements. Chest measurements for female candidates will not be taken. The ITBP Tradesman physical standard requirements are shared below:

ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024 for Written Exam
Candidates declared successful in physical standard tests will be shortlisted for the ITBP Tradesman written exam. The written exam comprises a total of 50 objective-type questions for 50 marks which should be completed within 1 hour. The ITBP Tradesman exam pattern 2024 for the written exam is shared below:

ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024 for Trade Test
The third stage of the ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024 is the Trade Test. Candidates declared successful in the written exam will be shortlisted for the trade test. Each candidate will be permitted to participate in one trade test only as applied for an application form. The trade test will be qualifying in nature and it carries a total of 50 marks. The minimum qualifying marks shall be 50% for all categories.
ITBP Tradesman Merit List 2024
After the written exam is over, the ITBP Tradesman merit list will be prepared for all the categories including SC, ST, UR, EWS, etc based on the marks obtained in the written exam. Based on the merit, the candidates will be shortlisted for the verification of documents and Detailed Medical Examination (DME) as per category-wise vacancies.
ITBP Tradesman Selection Process 2024: Document Verification
The candidates will be shortlisted in order of merit in each category and will be called to appear for document verification before the detailed medical examination. The following documents are required for the verification are as follow:
- Educational Certificates
- Matriculation or 10th Class Certificates for verification of DOB
- Professional/Experience Certificate, if any
- Caste Certificate, if applicable
- Domicile Certificate, if applicable
- Discharge Certificate in case of Ex-Servicemen
- Four latest Passport Size Photograph, etc
