- The HPSC AMO screening test consists of a total of 100 questions for 100 marks.
- The test duration shall be 2 hours.
- The medium of the exam shall be in English/Hindi.
- As per the official marking scheme, all questions carry equal marks and a negative marking of 1/4th of the mark for each wrong answer.
- To clear the screening test, aspirants must score at least 25% marks.
- The marks obtained in the screening test will not be considered for final selection because it is used only to shortlist candidates.

- The HPSC AMO Subject Knowledge Test is a subjective-type paper.
- The medium of the question paper shall be English and Hindi.
- The exam duration shall be 3 hours.
- The total marks shall be 150.
- No candidate will shortlisted for the interview/viva voce test unless they score a minimum of 35% marks in the test.
- The weightage of the second stage test will be 87.5%.
